Color
I love photographing in black and white but I have spent years shooting color. My color work is what got me gallery representation years ago. I even showed up to the Yosemite Workshop and presented Cibachrome prints for John Sexton to critique.
WALLS: I recently digitized 4x5 transparencies of my favorite subject, walls. Although teeming with interesting textures and details, they command attention because of color. I have photographed walls around Texas, New Orleans, Mexico, Azerbaijan, and captured the Ultimate Wall in Berlin in 1989. The Berlin Wall photos are the only walls that exhibit graffiti and murals as that had historical relevance depicting the moment in history when the wall was virtually nothing but graffiti and murals.
POlAROIDS: I have a small collection of Polaroid SX70 prints that I manipulated the emulsion to make what I call Photo-impressionism prints.
iPHONE: My photography for the past few years has been with my iPhone 6s, Xs, and now my iPhone 14 Pro. The photos are often of very colorful scenes before I work them in LightRoom to create my black and white prints. As of 2023 I am beginning to revamp my website with the emphasis on color photography. I've reworked black & white images and reposting them in color.
